Lynda Salcido, P.H.N., Chair
Lynda Salcido was born in South Dakota, but grew up in Downey, California. Lynda obtained her Bachelor’s degree at Cal State Long Beach and pursued her graduate studies at Azusa Pacific University.
Lynda has been in Hospice Program Management since 1991, and an Oncology Nurse specialist since 2001. She has also done consulting, quality assurance, contracting, home health care compliance, hospice certification, and clinical nursing instruction since 2001.

Lynda moved to Mammoth in 1996 and joined the Southern Mono Healthcare District Board in 1998. She has worked for the Mono County Health Department since 1996, serving as Public Health Director since 1999. She is also the interim Paramedic Chief. In her years working with both organizations, Lynda feels a great connection between Public Health and the Healthcare District.
Over the years, Lynda has served on the Boards of the American Cancer Society, Wild Iris, and Mammoth Lakes Mobility Commission. Lynda has three children, two of whom grew up in Mammoth Lakes. She is still active in the Noon Rotary Club, Mammoth Lakes Women’s Club, and The Original Book Club. She and her partner, Greg Newbry both enjoy life in the Sierra and all the area has to offer.
