Mark Lind – IT Director

Mark Lind serves as the Director of Information Technology for the Southern Mono Healthcare District. His areas of responsibility include Information Systems, Hospital Information Systems, Bio-Med, Telecom, and Help Desk. His previous career path included 10 years of working for General Research in Santa Barbara, CA. Their product was the custom-design and manufacturer of instrumented impact-testing devices for the automobile, military and aerospace industries. Mark started as a
temporary employee while attending college and progressively worked his way up into management. He also earned his Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering during that time. When his division was bought by Instron Corporation in Canton, MA, Mark was asked to bring his expertise to their company and was a key player in the moving and setting up the manufacturing unit in Canton. Mark’s favorite aspect of this position during his five-year tenure with Instron was being able to travel to many interesting places for system installations both domestically and internationally.

Both Mark and his wife of 17 years grew up in Bishop and felt the need to return home after the birth of their first son, Eric. Mark’s passion for technology and willingness to try new things led him to Mammoth Hospital’s doors in 2002 when he was hired as an IS Support Tech. Because of the rapid growth of the hospital and the many opportunities presented, Mark has been able to merge both his leadership and technology experience in his role as Director. Mark and his wife, Shannon, enjoy hiking in the back country with their two boys, Eric and Jonathan, ages five and eight. They are also very involved in youth sports, including soccer, hockey and baseball.
