Seventh Annual Cancer Outreach Golf Tournament breaks all the records
2010 saw the largest outpouring of support in the history of the annual Cancer Outreach Golf Tournament. From family, friends, and local residents to businesses and sponsors - all stepped up. The net proceeds brought in nearly $38,000 to assist local cancer patients traveling out of the area to receive cancer care. Those who gathered in support of local cancer survivor Brian Venneman saw firsthand what this fund means to the community and how cancer has touched all of us. On a gorgeous day at Sierra Star Golf Course, the full field of players was treated to one of the best days of golf in support of their community.

Tournament Success in 2009
Once again the Cancer Outreach Golf Tournament was held on a beautiful Eastern Sierra day. This year’s event was a huge success, bringing in just over $19,000.
The Cancer Outreach Fund means so much to our organization, to the community, and we know it is only possible because of you. We are also most grateful during this time of economic challenges to be able to continue to support those in need of assistance. This year’s event was not immune to the struggles facing this country and it too saw a reduction in sponsors and players, so to come only $2,000 short from last year’s totals is a great accomplishment! Mammoth Hospital would like to thank all those who helped this year, making this one of our most successful events every year.

Third Annual Golf Benefit a Success - 2006
What a fantastic day for golf. The weather was perfect, the course was in pristine condition, the players were ready to play, and it was all for a great cause.
Local cancer survivor, Brian Venneman, hosted Mammoth Hospital’ third annual Cancer Outreach Golf Tournament to raise money and awareness for the hospital’s cancer outreach programs. These funds help offset travel expenses for local cancer patients receiving cancer care out of the area. Brian was a recipient of these funds three years ago and wanted to show his appreciation and give back to Mammoth Hospital. This was his third year hosting the tournament in celebration of his victory over cancer.

Second Annual Golf Benefit A Huge Success - June 24, 2005
We couldn’t have asked for a better day... the weather was fabulous, the golf course was beautiful, and everyone was excited to play. It was opening day for Sierra Star Golf Club in Mammoth Lakes with 149 participants in support of Mammoth Hospital Cancer Outreach Program on June 24, 2005.
We would like to thank Brian Venneman, local cancer survivor, for leading us into another successful benefit raising proceeds of $19,000. This money will assist Mono and Inyo County cancer patients that travel out of the area to receive cancer care; it will help offset their traveling costs for meals, gasoline, and lodging needs. Financial assistance to local cancer patients have totaled $31,000 from this fund since last year’s golf tournament.
Congratulations to Scott Daniels, JetBlue Champion. Scott was closest to the pin for the $1 million hole-in-one shoot-out and won two roundtrip airline tickets from JetBlue Airways.
The Healthcare Trust of Mammoth Lakes would like to thank Sierra Star Golf Club, host Brian Venneman, the golf participants, the many volunteers, the hole sponsors, the raffle gift donators, JetBlue Airways, event sponsor OnFile, and the Mammoth Hospital Cancer Outreach Committee for another successful cancer golf benefit.
