Generous donations allow HTML to offer financial assistance, support and resources to cancer patients living or working in Mono County. Since Mammoth Hospital does not offer primary oncology care, local residents travel out of the area to receive such care. Through donations, we can financially assist with gas, meals, and lodging needs. You can participate in our annual fundraising
golf tournament event each year to help support our local cancer programs.

Adopt a Room
Adopt A Room, Completed Room 103 |
In an effort to make our patient rooms more comfortable, warm and inviting for our patients and guests, you can oversee a complete makeover of a patient room. Your donation will assist the hospital with purchasing new patient beds, new room furniture and new décor. You can choose a theme that reflects our unique environment. This project can be taken on in groups or with friends, family or business associates. Share your creative flair with our community and adopt a room. Call for adoption papers.

Reach Out and Read

Physicians prescribing books is the latest treatment for toddlers during their well-child check at Sierra Park Pediatrics, Mammoth Hospital, under the Reach Out and Read Program. Boost literacy by taking advantage of regularly scheduled well-child visits is the strategy. While the child waits in the lobby before seeing the doctor, hospital volunteers read to them.
After the appointment, the child is given a book from the pediatrician as a gift from the pediatric clinic. The parent is prescribed to read nightly to their child encouraging them to make reading fun. The child receives an age appropriate book at each well-check visit from six months to five years old, available in either English or Spanish. This program is a wonderful compliment to the hospital program offered through the Mammoth Lakes friends of the Library providing newborns a new book and library card when they are discharged after delivery from the hospital. Your donation will help purchase books to provide as the "patient gift" at the well-child check.
