Medical Imaging
The Medical Imaging Department is proud to provide state-of-the-art imaging equipment that produces the image quality needed in today's health care. Our new department houses a Philips Digital Radiography room, Philips Multi-Purpose Special Procedures Digital room, 40-slice Philips Cat Scan with multi-planar reconstruction and true 3D volume rendering, New Philips MR Scanner, and a new Hologic full Field Digital Mammography department.

Our Medical Imaging Department is complemented with three CR (Computed Radiography) systems located in the Emergency Department trauma room, Sierra Park Orthopedic Clinic, and Bishop Orthopedic Clinic; two ultrasound machines are used to perform exams from routine abdomen to vascular and u/s needle guided biopsies, and three C-arm fluoro machines are used for surgical procedures, mostly ortho cases. Our Medical Imaging Department is staffed with some of the most knowledgeable radiologists (physicians that specialize in the interpretation of medical images) in this region of the country. Also, all of our technologists hold registries and licenses in their specialty areas.

The digital mammography unit is the newest technology in breast cancer detection. Digital mammography is said to be the biggest advance in mammography in 30 years. It allows for faster acquisition, fewer total exposures, and less patient discomfort. Yuri Parisky, M.D., Medical Imaging Director at Mammoth Hospital has over 20 years of experience that include former Associate Professor of Radiology at USC, former Director of New Technologies and former director of Breast Imaging Services at Norris / Lee Breast Center. Our mission is to provide the most comprehensive and complete diagnostic services in mammography.
