    Sierra Park Family Medicine Team

    Pete Clark, M.D., Medical Director of Sierra Park Family Medicine, moved to Mammoth from Colorado in 1999. He is a graduate of UC Davis, Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, and St. Mary’s Family Medicine Residency in Grand Junction, Colorado. His interests and areas of expertise include sports medicine, preventative medicine, and weight management. Dr. Clark also enjoys travel and wilderness medicine. In the past, he has been involved with hypothermia research, and has worked on the Navajo and Makah reservations in Telluride and Copper Mountain, Co. He is also the team physician for the United States Snowboard team.

    Dennis Crunk, M.D., has been practicing in Mammoth for more than 20 years. This well loved physician has followed many local patients over the years managing all their health care needs.  He earned his bachelor of science degree from Pacific Union College, his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and is board certified as a family practitioner. His current practice includes all facets of primary care. Dr. Crunk is a certified medical examiner for the Federal Aviation Administration.


    Mary Bassler, M.D., family medicine physician, joined Sierra Park Family Medicine in August 2003. She graduated from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 1994, followed by residency at the Santa Monica Hospital Family Practice program. She subsequently joined the faculty of the department of Family Medicine at the University of Michigan Medical School, attaining the rank of clinical assistant professor.  Her clinical interests include women’s health and preventative medicine.

    Richard Price, M.D., joined the Sierra Park Family Medicine clinic as well as the Sierra Park Orthopedic & Sports Medicine clinic in 2004. He earned his bachelor’s degree in science with an emphasis in biology from Colorado State University and received his medical degree from Georgetown University. He completed his residency and fellowship training at the University of Utah. His area of focus is family practice and non-operative sports medicine and orthopedics. He is accompanied by his wife Katie Price, M.D., a pediatrician at Sierra Park Pediatric clinic.

    Shelly Vinatieri, RN, MN, CANP, graduated from Humboldt State University in 1975 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. In 1982, she completed a certified family nurse practitioner program and received her master’s in nursing from UCLA. After practicing in an internal medicine setting in Santa Barbara for eight years, Shelly was hired as a staff nurse at Mammoth Hospital in 1991.  When the Sierra Park Family Medicine Clinic opened in 1995, she resumed her role as a full-time family nurse practitioner. Shelly is also a certified colposcopist, and holds national certification as an adult nurse practitioner. Her professional interests include primary care, adolescent and women’s health.

    Mary Heller, RN, MS, CFNP, has been practicing in Mammoth Lakes since 1988. She graduated from the University of Vermont in 1977 with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She received her master of science degree from the family nurse practitioner program at the University of Utah in 1981 and she is nationally certified as a family nurse practitioner (FNP).  Prior to moving to Mammoth Lakes, she worked as a FNP in Ruidoso, New Mexico, and Salt Lake City, Utah.  Her past experience includes family practice, urgent care, sports medicine, and pediatric development disorders. She has a strong interest in women’s health, preventative health maintenance and the management of diabetes.


    Bridgeport Family Medicine Clinic

    The Bridgeport Family Medicine clinic, located at 221 Twin Lakes Road, Bridgeport, California, offers continuing heath care for all members of the family. Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30am - 4:00pm (closed for lunch from 11:30am - 1:00pm). To make an appointment or for more information call (760) 932-7011.
