Our
facility is open six days a week until 7:00pm and operates on an
appointment basis. Mammoth Hospital is a provider for Medicare, Medi-Cal,
California Children's Services, Blue Cross, Blue Shield, and several
other insurances. We work closely with worker’s compensation companies
to insure communication with the employer, case manager, physician, and
patient for optimal recovery and return to function including work
hardening and work-site ergonomic evaluations. Our new therapy center
offers covered patient parking, a ground level
state-of-the-art therapy pool with adjustable current and a built-in
treadmill, elevator access to the third floor therapy department, four
private treatment rooms, a pediatric treatment room, a hydrotherapy
room, changing areas, and a 2000 square-foot climate-controlled gym with
large windows and beautiful views of Mammoth Mountain and the Sherwin
Mountains.
Meet our
dedicated staff...
Karilyn
Myers, M.A., P.T.,
manages the physical & occupational therapy department. She received
her master’s degree in physical therapy from Stanford University. She
has been a resident of Mammoth Lakes and has practiced physical therapy
here since 1981. Karilyn is a California Children's Services paneled
therapist and is certified in lymphedema management.
Sheri Pueblo, M.S., P.T.,
received her master’s degree in physical therapy from University of
Pacific. Sheri has traveled with the U.S. Women’s Alpine Ski Team as a
team physical therapist. Sheri has a bachelor’s degree in exercise
physiology and training in Pilates.
Lorraine Maciorowski, P.T.,
received her degree at Northeastern University. She has taken advanced
coursework in biomechanics of the foot and lower leg in addition to
orthotic therapy. She has worked with Running USA athletes assisting
them in staying healthy while meeting their goals.
Lance Georgeson, M.P.T.,
received his master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of
Puget Sound. Lance has assisted with the disabled ski program at
Mammoth Mountain and has been teaching wellness classes for the
community. He has taken advanced training in manual therapy techniques
for orthopedic rehabilitation. Lance works with the U.S. Snowboard Team
as a team physical therapist.
Rachel Georgeson, M.S., P.T.,
received her master’s degree from Pacific University. Rachel has a broad range of experience in orthopedic, neurological, and cardiovascular rehabilitation; aquatic therapy, and women’s health. She is a paneled therapist for California Childrens Services.
Bryan Dennison, P.T., D.P.T., O.C.S., C.S.C.S.
received his master’s degree from Mount Saint Mary’s College in Los Angeles and his clinical doctorate degree in PT from Regis University. He is a certified strength and conditioning specialist. Bryan has been on the faculty at USC Department of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy. He has pursued advanced education in orthopedic manual therapy and pain management and is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.
Gillian McChesney, B.S., P.T.,
graduated from the University of Ulster in Ireland in 1988 and attained a bachelors of science
with honors in physical therapy. She specialized in rehabilitation in the Scottish Spinal Cord
Injuries Unit before moving to Mammoth in 1994. Her specialties include neurological
rehabilitation and treatment of neck and back pain.
Sara Chavez, M.P.T.
received her master’s degree in physical therapy from Elon University, NC, and also
has a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology. She has certification in vestibular
rehabilitation and has extensive experience in treating balance and dizziness disorders.
Sara Lokan, M.P.T
received her Master’s degree in physical therapy from Chapman University. Sara’s background as a certified ski instructor gives her insight in treating our unique population of Winter athletes. Sara also brings experience in neurological and cardiopulmonary therapy.
Kevin Thomas, P.T.A.,
has over 16 years of experience as a licensed physical therapy
assistant. He grew up in Mammoth Lakes and has certification as a ski
instructor,experience as a ski racer and a race coach. Kevin is an
avid cyclist and has specific training in bike fitting to optimize
performance and minimize potential musculoskeletal strain.
Rita Klabacha, M.S. is an Exercise Physiologist who runs Human Performance tests under
the medical direction of Richard Price, M.D. Rita attended UC San Diego and then San Diego
State University and brings a wealth of experience in Exercise Physiology, fitness and performance
enhancement.
Ellen Obenberger, OT,
is a licensed occupational therapist with specialty certification in
hand therapy. She received her degree from USC. Ellen has over 20
years of experience in a variety of areas including hand therapy,
pediatrics, ergonomics and work hardening, neurology and orthopedics.
Steve Morra, OT,
is a licensed occupational therapist. Steve received his degree from in Chicago and has a broad base of experience in neurology, orthopedics, geriatircs and pediatrics.
Wendy Runley, P.T.A.,
is the clinic's billing coordinator. She can assist you with
all of your billing insurance questions. Wendy has a unique background
for understanding the needs of our patients as she has over 20 years of
clinical experience in athletic training and physical therapy.
Kim Erickson, Jill Lydestrom, Merle Ganong, and Amanda Taylor
are physical therapy aides who are always there to help our patients and
assist our therapists in providing the highest quality care.
